Vision and Goal
The research project VCS strives for the browser-based, synchronous collaboration on web pages with different end devices. Therefore - in partnership with our industry partner - a system is developed, that will be deployed for evaluation until September 2007. The research focuses on the following points:
- realisation of collaborative functionality for internet-based documents, so that multiple persons can visit a web page simultaneously and interactions with the page are synchronized beyond all members of the session.
- implementation of a thin-client approach, so that collaboration is possible with any standard web browser
- support for different mobile and desktop devices by on-the-fly adaptation of any arbitrary content and enrichment with collaborative functionality.
