Tools for informal cooperation in virtual teams

Our project part aims at the development of an IT platform for supporting cooperating partners in virtual corporations. Adaptive web-based questionnaires are applied to identify inefficiencies in cooperation and communication as well as appropriate counter measures. The IT platform supports the management and evaluation of adaptive surveys and interventions.

Summary

The multidisciplinary research project @VirtU takes place in cooperation of the Chair of Business Management, esp. Human Resource Management, the Heinz-Nixdorf-Chair of Multimedia Technology, the Department of Work & Organizational Psychology and the Private Lectureship for Applied Computer Science. Our particular project at the Chair of Multimedia Technology aims at the development of an IT platform supporting the cooperation of partners within network organizations and virtual enterprises. This platform utilizes adaptive web-based surveys to identify critical problem areas in cooperating teams and supports necessary interventions. @VirtU is supported by the German Ministry for Education and Research (BMBF).
